Newsiasm was created over a chef and her employer in response to heavily negative news in media today. Armed with a concept and a logo, the client hired Threxy to build a full-scale editorial website with the depth of major cable news networks and the ability to report positive world and local news from both writers, bloggers and iReporters. Threxy was responsible for guiding the vision of the client through the business plan, monetization strategy, design, marketing and editorial structure all the way through building a heavy duty scalable website designed to endure massive traffic and a deluge of news reported, at times, simultaneously throughout the world. Additionally, the site need to have a serious Content Management Tool that was user, editor and writer friendly with mulit-levels approval processes and layers of version control. The result was a sleek, 2.0 website, full of engagement with users, strong editorial content and a highly visual presence.
