A Backend Needed to be Rebuilt from the Ground-Up
Latinos Connected, a social network for Latinos in America was built with a shoestring budget and off-shored to Columbia. The client was in need of fix-it job. Latinos Connected approached Threxy to re-build the structure of the Latinos Connected site in order for it to scale, grow and sell. Like many clients, Latinos Connected was an example of why we, as a company, do not recommend off-shoring of development -- the site was not able to be “fixed,” but rather completely rebuilt on the back-end using Ruby on Rails and removing any trace of the poorly engineered product. The result, although not visible from the front-end, is a strong, scalable, functional tool built in advanced technology back-end for the client.
